ViewSonic Projector: Limited Warranty

ViewSonic® Limited Warranty (for Mauritius)

This document describes the warranty terms for all ViewSonic Projector products in Mauritius.

ViewSonic provides customers with the security of a manufacturers warranty against defected products. The type and duration of the applicable warranty service varies by product type and can also vary on an individual basis according to customer requirements agreed at time of purchase.

What the warranty covers:
ViewSonic warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with a similar product. Replacement Product or parts may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or components.

Warranty types:

Return-to-Base Service:
Repair or replace the defective unit at the service centre. User has to carry-in the unit to service center on his/her cost.

ViewSonic Projector Lamps
ViewSonic Projector lamps (original, which comes with the Projector) are warranted for one (1) year or 1000 hours whichever come 1st. Any replaced / New lamp is warranted for three (3) months from date of purchase / replacement.

Who the warranty protects:

The warranty stated above will be provided in accordance to the country of warranty request and is valid only for the first consumer purchaser from the date of original purchase (Proof-of-Purchase = Invoice).

What the warranty does not cover:

  1. Any product, on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
  2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
    1. Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature.
    2. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by ViewSonic.
    3. Any damage of the product due to transportation.
    4. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations / failure or interference caused due to any non compatible hardware / software.
  3. Removal, installation, and set-up service charges.
  4. Special charges such as Octroi, inter -state tax, surcharge, duties, any special municipal tax, and/or the like.
  5. The warranty does not cover an accessories external to the system.
  6. The concerned service centre will advise the customer whether to effect the repair at its site or service centre.
  7. The product is not purchased from an Authorized ViewSonic dealer.
  8. Site(premises where the product is kept) conditions that do not confirm to the recommended operating conditions of the machine
  9. Modification or alteration of any nature is made in the electrical circuitry / or physical construction of the set

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

For information on obtaining warranty service, you may call your ViewSonic dealer or ViewSonic Service Centre or email to Service.BD@viewsonic.com.

To obtain warranty service, you will be required to provide.

  1. The original dated sales receipt / invoice
  2. Your name, address and phone number
  3. The model and serial number of the product
  4. The description of problem(s) of product
  5. Bring or ship the product prepaid in the original packaging, with the associated accessories to ViewSonic authorized service center
