To resolve the challenges of current online digital learning tools, such as lack of interaction and engagement, the UNIVERSE by ViewSonic is developed to deliver an immersive 3D interactive learning experience. A class of 13 students, grade 7 – 8 from Chung Hwa Junior High School piloted the UNIVERSE.
In the immersive virtual learning spaces, educators and students can teach and learn as if they were in a real classroom. Combined with intuitive controls and diverse tools, teachers can engage students in discussions and group collaboration, gaining feedback in real-time. Students are able to express themselves and interact with peers through personalized avatars.
Mr Chu, a teacher from Chung Hwa Junior High School said, “The UNIVERSE simulates real-life classroom settings very well and it has everything a teacher needs all in one place. For instance, screen sharing is easy, so the eBooks, slides, or the web content I usually use in class can be shared with students. And, the Quiz feature allows me to check on student’s learning progress.”
