Recycle

Beginning with the end in mind, we design our products to facilitate maximum recyclability, and nearly all plastic used are completely recyclable. ViewSonic has developed programs and resources to encourage environmentally conscious decisions as part of our commitment to protecting the planet. We partner with recycling organizations in multiple European countries to provide recycling services to our customers

Recycling for a Better Future

We are committed to sustainability, with our efforts encompassing several crucial aspects of environmental responsibility. Our focus extends to the minimization of greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water conservation, and landfill waste. Our product design reflects our dedication to meeting and exceeding the rigorous criteria established by the European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. By adhering to these stringent standards, we promote a more eco-friendly future.

e-Waste Directive

WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU established in 2012 by the European Parliament and Council, aims to promote the reuse, recycling, and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment, while improving the environmental performance of operators involved in the equipment's life cycle. Member states were required to enact legislation by Feb 14, 2014, for all electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market since 2005.

Recycling and Safe Battery Disposal of ViewSonic Products in Europe

ViewSonic Europe is committed to supporting the responsible collection, reuse, and recycling of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) in accordance with applicable European and national regulations. Through the ViewSonic Europe take-back program, ViewSonic covers the costs of returning eligible hardware products and ensures they are collected and recycled by authorized recycling partners in an environmentally responsible manner. Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. Instead, products should be returned through the appropriate collection or take-back channels available in your country. Where applicable, batteries should be removed from the product before disposal and recycled separately in accordance with local regulations. If batteries cannot be safely removed by users, they should only be removed by qualified personnel.

Crossed-out wheelie bin symbol

You are legally required to return used batteries and accumulators after use. You can do this free of charge at the point of sale or at another collection point near you. Addresses of suitable collection points can be obtained from your local municipal authority. Batteries may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the battery indicates that it must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. For products capable of storing personal or business data, users are responsible for deleting all personal data before returning or disposing of the equipment.
