ViewSonic Introduces New Professional Monitor that Delivers Colour Accuracy, Uniformity and Processing for Vivid, Colour-Critical Applications

The VP2768 WQHD is Engineered for a Near Seamless Viewing Experience, Ensuring Precise Colour for Professional Content Creators

London, UK (May 15, 2017) — ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, introduces the VP2768, a 27-inch WQHD (2560x1440) monitor with a SuperClear® IPS panel, a sleek 4 sides frameless design and hardware calibration function. Engineered to deliver unmatched colour accuracy that is needed for colour-critical professional applications, the ViewSonic® VP2768 ensures vibrant and intense colour reproduction, perfect for photographers, graphic designers, and more.

Delivering nearly double the resolution of Full HD monitors, the VP2768 packs a pixel punch for incredible detail and true-to-life imagery that professionals demand. With 99% sRGB panel coverage, the ViewSonic VP2768 monitor reproduces richer and more vivid colour for superior colour accuracy straight out of the box. For precise and uniform colour, each VP2768 is factory calibrated to a Delta E≤2 value for superior accuracy of all the pre-set colour spaces, including sRGB, EBU, SMPTE-C, REC709 and DICOM mode. An integrated colour uniformity function ensures consistent chromaticity across the screen, while a 14-bit 3D look-up table generates a palette of 4.39 trillion colours. A six-axis colour enhancement function allows users to individually adjust six different colours: red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow.

With its comprehensive colour accuracy technologies, the VP2768 can easily become the standard display for applications where colour accuracy is crucial. Co-developed with colour management experts X-rite, ViewSonic’s Colorbration software offers hardware calibration functionalities which help align graphics card and monitor scalar to ensure long-term consistency and accuracy of colour output. For the ultimate colour accuracy, the VP2768 can be used with X-rite I1 Display pro and I1 pro2 calibrator. This kit allows users to quickly and easily calibrate monitors for various applications.

“Whether you’re a professional photographer, content creator, videographer or graphic artist, colour is critical in what you do,” said Claire Chuang, business line manager at ViewSonic Europe. “We engineered the VP2768 to ensure that colour uniformity and accuracy are at the forefront of this new monitor. In addition to colour-focused features, we wanted to make sure that the monitor is robust with connectivity options, a near bezel-less design and ergonomic comfort.”

The VP2768 features future-proof DisplayPort technology so multiple monitors can be easily daisy-chained with a single cable. What’s more, when used in multi-monitor setups, the 4 sides frameless design of the monitor provides a near-seamless, fuller viewing experience without the distraction of borders. Other connectivity options include HDMI 1.4, USB 3.0 (type A and B), mini-DisplayPort and audio out.

In addition to the colour and connectivity technologies, the VP2768 comes with ergonomic features including tilt, swivel, height adjustments and auto pivot in both clockwise and anti-clockwise direction with built-in G sensor allowing the screen image to pivot automatically when positioned vertically.

The ViewSonic VP68 range is also available in 24” with full HD resolution with the same features.
